Privacy: Why do I need to create an account to buy product from you?
In order to make sure that we have accurate information on our guests, we require that an account be set up to complete a shopping transaction. This insures that we have an accurate way to reach you should problems with your order arise, as well as to make sure that the "you" using your credit card is really "you".

Privacy: How is my privacy protected?
All private information is kept in a secure database and sensitive information such as credit card numbers are transacted over a secure internet connection using the latest in SSL. All credit card transactions are process by VeriSign to reduce fraud and the use of stolen cards, further protecting your personal data.

Privacy: Will I receive Spam, will you sell or give away my information?
Under no circumstances will we give away or sell your information to any third parties unless it is necessary to complete your order. That would include things like transmitting information to our credit card processing company for example, or transmitting your information to the supplier of a product you order if that product is directly shipped to you from that supplier, or if the product requires some type of customization requiring information like your name, size, etc.
You will also not receive any unsolicited email from A&S. You will receive confirmation emails or other customer service emails related to orders you place, and if you elect to be on our mailing list when you create your account you will also periodically receive newsletters. You of course can elect to be removed from this list at any time.
* In summary, we hate spam as much or more than you do and we will not be responsible for creating any more than there already is.

Order Processing: How is my order handled when I order off your site?
When you place an order on our site one of our Parts and Accessories professionals will receive, review and process your order. This typically happens the following business day. If you place your order at 3:00pm on a Wednesday, we will begin processing it on Thursday. If you place your order at 3:00am on Wednesday, then we will process it later in the day Wednesday. There may be times due to holidays, un-clear order instructions, issues with shipping or billing address, or other unforeseen problems that may delay the processing of your order. You will be notified by the email address supplied with your order when we process your order, as well as any status as to “special order” items, including estimated shipping dates.

Order Processing: How are “in stock” items and “back orders” handled?
A&S makes every attempt to have the items you order in our extensive inventory. However there are times when we don’t have a particular item in stock. In those cases we need to place a “back order” to get the product into our store. Your credit card will be billed for all “in stock” as well as “back order” items when your order is processed. All “in stock” items will ship the day the order is processed, and all “back order” items will ship as soon as they come in. You will only be charged one time for shipping. For example, if you order three items for a total of $100.00, and two of those items are in stock and one item is out of stock, we will process your order for all three items, bill your credit card for the $100.00 plus the one time shipping charge, ship you the two “in-stock” items immediately, place a replenishment order for the “out of stock” item, and ship it to you as soon as we receive it.

Credit Cards: Why do you require that my credit card billing address and the shipping address are the same?
Due to an increase in on-line credit card fraud, identity theft, and related crimes, A&S chooses to be as thorough as possible when it comes to making sure that the person using your credit card to buy products from us is actually you. One way that that is accomplished is by making sure that the billing address for the credit card used is the same as where we are shipping the product. This greatly reduces the risk that your card is being used without your knowledge.

Credit Cards: Why to you require the additional code on my credit card?
The CVV or Card Verification Value is the 3-4 digit number found on the signature panel on the back of a credit card. Because this code is printed on the card, it is another method to make sure that the person using our site to place an order actually has the card in their possession.

Credit Cards: Why was my credit card “billed” before the order was processed?
Once you place your order on our site and we verify your credit card information, the funds required to complete the transaction are placed “on hold” through the financial institution that issues you your card. At this point you have not actually been “billed” for this purchase, however it will come into play for future purchase’s credit limit computations. Once we process your order as outlined above, we move the funds from the “hold” status to an actual credit card purchase. Please note that some on-line banking applications or web sites may indicate the “hold” as a purchase even before it has been moved into an actual purchase. A&S has no control over how your financial institution chooses to display these transactions. However you can be sure that we will never charge your card until we have actually processed your order.

Shipping: How are your shipping charges computed?
Shipping prices to the 48 contiguous states are as follows: $1.00 - $149 = $11.00, $150 - $300 = $15.00, and over $300 = $19.00

Shipping: Do you ship outside of the USA?
No.

Shipping: Why do you charge more than your standard flat rate to ship to a PO Box?
We use the United States Postal Service Express Service with begins at $17.00 and goes up from there depending on package size or weight. We will contact you with the increased charges before shipping.

Shipping: Why does it cost more to ship to Alaska or Hawaii?
Because those areas are not serviced by standard FedEx Ground. We will contact you with the additional charges.

Returns: What products can I return?
Defective or wrong product was shipped: Contact A&S to arrange for a pick-up of the defective or incorrect part.
Product not wanted, or not happy with product: All products that are un-used, un-damaged, and as new may be returned for a full refund, minus original shipping. Exclusions to this policy include printed or electronic media (including but not limited to books, magazines, computer software and related media) and electronic components or wiring.
To Return: ALL RETURNS MUST HAVE AN RMA NUMBER ASSIGNED. CONTACT A&S EITHER BY REPLYING TO YOUR CONFIRMATION EMAIL OR CALLING TO GET AN RMA NUMBER. WHEN REQUESTING YOUR RMA NUMBER, YOU NEED TO GIVE THE REASON FOR THE RETURN AND IF YOU REQUIRE A REFUND OR A REPLACEMENT/EXCHANGE.
When returning product, you must include a copy of your invoice with a note as to the reason for the return, as well as if you require a refund or a replacement/exchange.
RETURNS WITHOUT AN RMA# AND A COPY OF YOUR INVOICE WITH NOTE AS TO WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE WITH THE RETURN ARE SUBJECT TO A 15% RESTOCKING FEE!

Errors and Omissions:
We do our very best to make sure that all of the information on our site is correct and current. However, mistakes do occur. There are times where the product described or the price is in correct. If we discover there is an issue with the product described (i.e. it requires other parts not included in the description or price to make it functional) or the price is not correct, we will contact you immediately and change the error on the website so it doesn't happen again.
